This national park is of great archaeological and historical wealth. The vegetation is characterized by more than twenty species of cacti, including the amazing copiapoa, round cacti measuring from 15 to 70 cm in diameter. Around the thirtieth kilometer, well inside the park, we reach the fishermen's cove, Caleta de Azúcar. From there, you can take a boat to the famous island and observe Humboldt penguins, sea lions, pelicans, cormorants... The Lomitas, located 800 m above sea level, offer an absolutely unique panorama. In low season, the caleta quickly becomes a lost paradise, almost untouched by human presence.
