PUNACAPA

Punacapa is a small and peaceful town located just in front of the Santuario de la Naturaleza. Here you can visit a chicha factory and a local cervercería (brewery). The cemetery is beautifully coloured and the church, which is over a century old, is also worth a visit. The Feria costumbrista, in summer, offers all kinds of local specialties. There are several daily boat departures from the feria fluvial, but be sure to ask beforehand, as schedules change regularly.
