A park built in 1901 with numerous monuments and sculptures, including the Alemana fountain by sculptor Gustavo Eberlein.
It is a place of walks and games for the inhabitants of Santiago. It was carried out in 1901 on the initiative of Intendant Enrique Cousiño on a project by the French landscape architect Jorge Dubois. Numerous monuments and sculptures are scattered throughout the park. The most imposing monument is the Alemana Fountain, the work of the sculptor Gustavo Eberlein. It was donated by the German colony on the centenary of Chile's independence. It represents Chilean glory, its mineral wealth, the sea and the people at work.
