BHAGAVTHY AMMAN TEMPLE

The particularity of this temple is that the male visitors must remove their shirt before entering there. Overlooking the shore, this temple is dedicated to a manifestation of Parvati, the virgin goddess who did penance to obtain the hand of Lord Shiva. The diamond nose ring of the deity is famous for its glittering splendor, which is said to be visible even from the sea. The temple, in its picturesque surroundings, attracts tourists from all over the world. Cameras are not allowed, they are kept for you at the entrance for a few rupees.
