This colorful temple is dedicated to Ganesh, the elephant-headed god who is prayed to as he helps overcome obstacles. Lakshmi, the famous elephant who was stationed in front of the temple entrance to bless devotees for more than a decade, unfortunately passed away in November 2022. In August or September, depending on the lunar calendar, the Ganapati festival takes place during which statues of Ganesh are led in procession to the waterfront and thrown into the ocean.
