This basilica mixes Gothic and colonial styles for a result slightly less "cream cake" than other churches in the city. It has very beautiful centuries-old stained glass windows. Today is one of the most important Christian pilgrimage Sites in the country.

Une église de Pondichéry permettant de se remémorer la vie à l'époque coloniale mais qui reste active et traduit la forte présence des chrétiens dans cette région de l'Inde et la tolérance religieuse de cette région
A visiter en même temps que l'église de l'Immaculée Conception sitée à quelques centaines de mètres de là.
