MANGALAVANAM BIRD SANCTUARY

Located in the center of Ernakulam, the Mangavalam Reserve is the "lungs" of the city and home to many exotic and rare varieties of migratory birds. The mangrove swamp provides a suitable habitat for their breeding. There are 72 species of birds and there are also bats, butterflies, spiders, reptiles, amphibians ... Unfortunately, the proliferation of buildings bordering the reserve disorients the birds and hinders their arrival.
