Temple dedicated to the goddess Rajarajerswari, where 2 festivals are celebrated each year, including Navrathri and Thaipooyakavadi
The Mullackal temple is dedicated to the goddess Rajarajeswari. An elephant stands ready for the festivities at the back of the complex. Two festivals are celebrated here every year. Navrathri, which lasts nine days, is celebrated in November or December. On the last two days, colorful processions involving nine elephants take place in the evening. The other festival celebrated here is Thaipooyakavadi, which lasts for one day and includes a spectacular evening procession.
