Located on thefirst floor above a supermarket of fine products, this restaurant does not shine for its atmosphere, rather cold and devoid of charm. However, the menu is interesting and offers a variety of cuisines: traditional Kerala dishes, Thai recipes, soups, tandoori brochettes, Chinese noodles, burgers... Beef, lamb, chicken, fish and seafood, the choice is vast. We particularly recommend the Kerala specialties, like beef kizhi (cooked in a banana leaf). A good option!

This little blue restaurant has a good reputation. Indeed, the vegetarian food (pure veg) that it proposes is very tasty. The menu is written on a board on the wall. In the morning, it's time for masala dosa, vada, poori, and other idlis, served with an excellent sambar and different chutneys. At noon, a meal (thali) is traditionally served on a banana leaf, as much as you like. This restaurant is very popular among the locals, you will probably have to wait to get a table. Fast service and low prices.

It is part of the Hotel Sudarsan. This air-conditioned restaurant is renowned for serving the best South Indian cuisine. The dishes are explained in English, which facilitates understanding of the map. The specialities of Kerala are good. You can also opt for continental, sizzlers or spaghetti dishes. The service is efficient, but not very smiling. Located near the hotel's reception, a tea lounge offers hot and cold drinks, Indian snacks and sandwiches.

Ramees is one of the best and most popular restaurants in Kollam. In a contemporary and highly air-conditioned setting, you will of course taste the succulent specialties of the state, such as meen pollichathu, a fish cooked with its preparation in a banana leaf, mutton curry (lamb curry) or beef bellary (beef fried in its spices with vegetables). The menu offers a wide range of dishes. The biryanis are also successful. A warmly recommended place to taste authentic Kerala cuisine.

NEW AZAD HOTEL

Indian restaurant

The Azad branch of establishments is famous in Kerala for its very good food offered at low prices. The room is not very charming but is nevertheless clean. On the menu, biryanis (with beef, chicken or lamb), dishes in sauce, excellent Kerala parothas, vegetarian dishes, specialities of the day on the board... However, the service is not the most impeccable and there is no parking at the disposal of the customers.
