Often referred to as the "Kovalam lighthouse" by visitors, this lighthouse with its red and white horizontal stripes has actually been watching over the Vizhinjam harbor since it was put into operation in 1972. It is really worth a visit: from the top of its 36 meters, it offers a breathtaking view of Kovalam and the nearby harbor. An elevator allows you to enjoy this splendid panorama while sparing your efforts. Go there before closing time to enjoy the light of the sunset.
