ARUVIKKARA

A nice little village located on the Karamana River. The main attractions to see are the park and the dam which has the particularity to be quite colorful. There is also an ancient sacred shrine, the Bhagavathy Temple, built on a rock and dedicated to Durga, the wife of Shiva. In front of this holy place, don't miss the huge fish that are fed by the passing devotees. The place is relaxing and it is mainly frequented by locals who come with their families to picnic on weekends.
