The Vidhana Soudha, which was completed in 1956, is one of the main attractions of Bangalore. It is a magnificent building, built entirely of Bangalore granite, which houses the legislative headquarters of the state of Karnataka. It is an architectural marvel, blending modern and Dravidian styles harmoniously. It also includes architectural elements of the ancient Hoysala, Vijayanagara, and Chalukya empires. It is not open to visitors but one can admire its imposing structure from the outside.
