The splendor of the maharajas! This sumptuous hotel is located in a palace built in 1812, only the Ramnagar fort is older in Varanasi! It opened its doors in 2016 after years of restoration work. It is the most luxurious hotel in the city, it almost occupies a ghat by itself! The 32 rooms are meticulously decorated and some have a balcony to see the Ganges from the bed. Noble materials, exceptional lighting, charm of yesteryear, comfort... superlatives are missing! The restaurant is open to non-residents.
