KACHCHH MUSEUM

Spread over two floors, this museum illustrates well the disinterest of the government for its culture: poorly displayed antiques, badly lit showcases, faded photos. What a pity, because this museum is absolutely fascinating. Geological exhibitions, ancient engravings, presentation of the different tribes with their characteristics and especially introduction to the local craft industry with magnificent textile pieces. It is a must to do before undertaking a trip in the villages of Kutch, because this museum delivers essential keys to apprehend the region.
