Nestled in the middle of a mountain range separating the Mewar and Marwar regions, Ranakpur is located about 80 kilometers north of Udaipur. The site is known for its fabulous white marble Jain temples and in particular that of Adinath. Ranakpur is one of the 5 holy places of Jainism. If you have to see only one Jain temple, it will be this one, so much it is majestic and delicate at the same time. The surrounding countryside is very pleasant and many resorts have taken up residence in this part of Mewar, which thanks to its mountains enjoys a pleasant climate and abundant nature. The site is located on the road between Udaipur and Jodhpur.
