GOENKA HAVELI

This large two-story haveli was built by Seth Arjun Das Goenka in 1875. The golden age of the rich merchants of Shekhawati saw the blossoming of beautiful mansions all over the region where painters and craftsmen competed with each other in skill and know-how. This haveli is no exception to the rule, it also has a small vegetable garden. The most beautiful frescoes are applied on the first floor of the inner courtyard, where all the arches and ceilings of the gallery are covered with them. The exterior frescoes are less well preserved.
