Essaouira has experienced in recent years a great cultural abundance and an explosion of artistic creations often self-taught. Taken over by Alain Graffe (philosopher) and Claude Jadot (doctor), this gallery supports local cultural activity. The Damgaard gallery (named after its creator, a Danish art critic) is well worth a visit, as it exhibits paintings and sculptures created exclusively by smiling artists. To be admired among others, the works of Tabal, Maimoune, Berhiss or Ouarzaz, who have already exhibited in Europe.
