Kasbah SaharaSky was built in the beautiful Drâa Valley. After searching for a long time for a site to build his observatory, Fritz Gerd Koring, former manager of the Bayer AG company, now a specialist in the sale of astronomical equipment in Morocco, decided to acquire 3 hectares of land a few hundred meters from Tinfou. He built a 1,200 m² hotel before starting the construction of a 500 m² panoramic terrace dedicated to astronomy.
