DAR GNAOUA
Maison de Gnaoua, offering a mystical experience as you listen to the traditional songs of a dozen Gnaouis while enjoying a cup of tea
A great opportunity to discover Gnaoua culture. Dar Gnaoua, the house of the Gnaoua, is a pleasant stopover, where Hamed Mahjouli, musician with the Bambaras group, has been warmly welcoming you since 2003. Photos and instruments are on display in the house, but the real highlight is to watch a real demonstration, as a dozen Gnaouis welcome you with traditional songs. They will take you through the history of the Haratins, sub-Saharan slaves exported to the Maghreb at the time of triangular slavery. An experience not to be missed.
