From the top of this rock, which dominates both the city and the palm grove, the panorama is absolutely magnificent, revealing a landscape of striking contrasts. The palm grove of Tizimi, which with its million palm trees is among the most important in Morocco, extends as far as the eye can see along the wadis Ziz and Rheris. In the distance, the first sand dunes can be seen, which take on a pink hue at sunset. At the top of the rock stands an old French fort, now occupied by the Moroccan army. The bravest will be able to walk there.
