OASIS OF OUIN MEDKOUR

In the hinterland, about thirty kilometres east of Tan-Tan, an authentic landscape, still preserved from the hordes of tourists, is revealed around a pass. Not only is the oasis superb, but it also shelters the zaouias and tombs of the marabouts of the great family of Sidi Abderahman Thali, descended from the Yacout tribe. On the same site, a few meters away, is the Giant's Tomb. Local legend tells us that in the 12th century, the members of a tribe of 2.50 m in height lived on this site!
