Time difference Tanger

There is a one hour time difference between France and Morocco. It is 11am in Tangier when it is noon in Paris in winter as well as in summer. During the month of Ramadan, Morocco moves back an extra hour. It is then 11am in Tangier when it is 1pm in Paris.

Most museums close at lunchtime. They reopen from mid-afternoon to the end of the day. The Kasbah Museum is open continuously.

Enjoying yourself Tanger

You'll have no trouble finding a restaurant in Tangier, whatever the time of day. Small bouis-bouis are open continuously during the day and close late, around midnight. Traditional restaurants are open between midday and 2.30pm, and from 7pm in the evening. Please note that during Ramadan, many establishments are closed, with the exception of hotel and tourist restaurants.

Take a break Tanger

Cafés open early in the morning, some as early as 6am or 6.30am, to serve breakfast to early risers and late sleepers. They close at dusk, or sometimes later. It's all up to the owner.

(To) please yourself Tanger

Shopping centers have opening hours that seem to be an international standard: from 10am to 10pm. In the souks, most stores also open continuously, between 10am and 8pm. Some shopkeepers take a siesta. The break is then between 1pm and 4pm.

Get out Tanger

Film screenings are usually scheduled between 11am and 10pm. Bars close at 2am and nightclubs close around 5am.
