Cameroon's national airline serves the destination three times a week from Douala, with a flight time of around 1h15, and twice a week from Yaoundé, with a flight time of around one hour. A round trip from Douala to Ngaoundéré or Yaoundé to Ngaoundéré costs around 70,000 FCFA at the high end. Despite these high fares, foreign tourists are still advised to travel by air to the north of the country, a region that is gradually reopening to tourism, but not without serious precautions.
