One of Yaoundé's must-visit cabarets! The dishes are tasty, the varan and other game are delicious, and the more classic dishes are always well served. But there is a "but"! This is a rather festive place, so don't expect any great moments of discussion, because as soon as the orchestra starts playing, the guitars start blaring and the voices resound, and it's more show than intimate conversation. Be patient too, as the service is as long as the food is good. And they are good! Rest assured, the music is just as good.

Le Bois d’Ebène est un passage obligé pour tout voyageur se rendant à Yaoundé. Nourriture variée et très bonne, et pour tous les goûts, service efficace et surtout music live à partir de 22h. L’un des cabarets incontournables de la ville. Cependant, il est à déplorer la musique souvent très forte ne permettant pas bien de s’entendre à table

It is true that it is good, noisy and slow! So, if you have time and conversation not to be supported, everything is good! The cameroonian dishes are excellent, to discover.

What a shame that the service is also calamitous: half - an - hour so that the bottle of wine is served commandee despite several revivals and while the restaurant is far from being the; dish served more than one hour later. Still waiting area can pay. But it must be said that the dishes on offer are always well prepare including local specialities: the viper and instructor are top, cooked has the étouffee, which gives them soft and flavour
