MARKET

The Foumban market, the^2nd largest in the West, is located near the mosque and not far from the chieftaincy, and has two entrances, one opposite the Mobil station, the other opposite the Café Royal. There's a huge choice of statuettes, masks, fabrics and fruit from all over the country. In the absence of space in the permanent huts, craft vendors have set up their stalls around the fruit market, extending its length. Most of the stalls are run by women, whose shouts, arguments and laughter keep the atmosphere going.
