CIMETIÈRE DE STRAŽIŠTE

Set on a hillside, this Muslim cemetery (Groblje Stražište/Гробље Стражиште) houses the only real monument recalling the 1992 Višegrad massacres. It is a white stele installed in 2012 by victims' associations and the Federal Ministry of Refugees with the inscription "Memorial to all killed and missing Bosnians, children, women and men, victims of genocide in Višegrad." But this sentence was changed by decision of the municipality: in 2014, the word "genocide" was erased by employees of the city hall.
