CATHÉDRALE DE LA NATIVITÉ-DE-LA-VIERGE-MARIE

This pastel yellow-walled Catholic cathedral (Katedrala Rođenja Blažene Djevice Marije/Катедрала Рођења Блажене Дјевице Марије) is the main religious building in the center of Trebinje along with the mosques of the Ottoman old town. Consecrated in 1884, it is the seat of the diocese of Trebinje and Mrkanj, which occupies the southeastern tip of Herzegovina, but the bishop has resided in Stolac since the last war. The small bell tower was added in 1928. The interior is not very interesting.
