The Bjelašnica Mountain Club, founded in 1948, is the largest association of mountain guides in the country. It runs six overnight huts on the Igman and Bjelašnica mountains, offers guided hikes and has detailed maps of both mountains. The Croatian Mountain Club Bjelašnica 1923 (www.hpd-bjelasnica1923.ba) also has experienced guides. These two associations are responsible for marking and maintaining the trails in the area.
