The mountains of Bjlelašnica are one of the most beautiful sites in Bosnia, km from Sarajevo (see «Geography»). This massif is south-west of Sarajevo, on the road to Mostar. For a long time, leisure activities have been organised on this massive massif, the most important of which is skiing with Babin Do station at the foot of the Bjelašnica summit itself, which was one of the two Resorts of the 1984 Olympic Games, with its ski jumping lever. The canyon of Rakitnica is also an extraordinary hiking place with its river that winds through gorges to throw itself into the waters of the Neretva to the south of the massif. Many sports and hiking opportunities are available to you (skiing, hiking, rafting, mountain biking), but it is not easy to go without escorts for 2 essential reasons: outside the ski resort, these are mostly tracks, (with some signposts since last year) and especially part of the massif (Mount Igman) is dotted with some mines. We will return to this point in the course of the proposed tours; do not take any risks with this and, except indications, do not go out of the trails. Organizers who propose circuits on the massif are the only ones to know the sites mined. On this reserve, the sites are among the most beautiful in Bosnia and are worth only one week on the spot: www.sarajevo-tourism.com/eng/bjelasnica.wbsp
