ĐULAGIN DVOR

Housed in an elegant 1897 Austro-Hungarian building on the site of the former Đulagin caravanserai, this restaurant has been famous for its traditional Bosnian music concerts since 1928. On Friday and Saturday nights, groups come to play and sing the slow, complex and melancholic sevdalinka (or sevdah). Except for the soups, the menu is not very interesting (stews, burgers, ćevapi and salads). Neither are the drinks. The place is crowded and smoky on weekends (reservations required). But the place is mostly worth it for its atmosphere.
