MUSEUM OF HISTORY AND ETHNOGRAPHY

Some of the pieces exhibited in one of the only museums in the city are interesting in themselves (icons, manuscripts), but it is to be regretted that no effort has been made to provide the information or education needed to appreciate them better. Originals, reproductions, photographs, 10th century icons, handcrafted tools, the first telephone of Koutaïssi are displayed in a jumble, without further explanation, in a dark and dilapidated building.
