Formerly the Association of the Blind and Amblyopes of Alsace and Lorraine (AAAL), the Federation of the Blind Alsace Lorraine Grand Est was created in 1909. Its mission: to provide work for visually impaired people and to promote their social integration. It is aimed at people of all ages and their loved ones. Recognized as a public utility in 2003, it set up appropriate courses (Braille), committed itself to defending the rights of people and even provided a culture and leisure space.
