Charming contemporary 4-star hotel in Strasbourg with elegant, refined and comfortable rooms
The Hannong Hotel owes its name to the former earthenware factory of the famous Dutch family of the same name which it replaced. The establishment was renovated in the 1920s to become a charming hotel in the heart of downtown Strasbourg. This house has a great charm with its parquet floor and its large spaces. The rooms, both elegant and refined, are very comfortable. The superior rooms have a sitting area and a whirlpool bath.

This marvelous family owned hotel is a jewel. I am reluctant to lavish deserved praise for fear of unleashing a flood of new clients and I want always to be able to get a room. It is impeccable in cleanliness and low key elegance. The breakfast has everything a person who loves European savory breakfasts would want. The staff is a team and very kind to each other as well as the clientele. I will be back.

Hôtel idéalement situé et confortable, avec un personnel attentionné et un petit-déjeuner de qualité.
Attention toutefois aux chambres « cosy », qui sont agréables pour une personne mais vraiment petites (rangements, circulation…) pour un couple et à éviter pour deux (pas de séparation de la salle de bain)

Le personnel est vraiment exceptionnel : à la réception, au bar ou au petit-déjeuner, tout le monde a été aimable, souriant et attentionné. La réception nous a même appelés le matin pour organiser la répartition des chambres et anticiper l’arrivée de notre bus – un geste très professionnel que nous avons salué.
La propreté est irréprochable, la décoration soignée, et les petites attentions comme la bouteille dans la chambre ont été très appréciées. Notre propre chambre, bien que petite, était agréable et bien agencée. Je laisse à chacun le soin d’évaluer le rapport qualité/prix (200 € la nuit, dans notre cas).
En revanche, nous avons constaté un manque d’homogénéité dans la qualité des chambres. Certaines étaient si étroites qu’il fallait sortir les chaises pour pouvoir y circuler. Une chambre mansardée était si basse qu’il était difficile de se tenir debout ou de se coucher sans heurter le plafond, avec en plus un bruit permanent provenant de l’ascenseur. Pour un tarif de 160 € la nuit, cela n’est vraiment pas acceptable – d’autant plus que nous avions déjà exprimé notre souhait d’un accueil harmonisé lors de notre visite préparatoire, quelques semaines auparavant.
C’est dommage, car malgré cette irrégularité, le séjour est resté globalement très agréable, notamment grâce à la qualité du petit-déjeuner et à l’engagement remarquable de toute l’équipe.
