LE GRAND HÔTEL * * *
Renovated hotel facing the train station and close to the city centre with 24 hour room service and teak terrace
Very convenient, this hotel is opposite the train station, very close to the city center and all public transport. Tastefully renovated, this historic establishment has taken a young kick and its contemporary and elegant design is in keeping with the glass of Strasbourg station. The decoration is made of discreet furniture, well-chosen colors and sieved lights. This makes this hotel a cozy and warm step. The Deluxe rooms are spacious. In the bathrooms: bath or shower. Room service 24 h/24 and beautiful teak terrace for summer. Friendly staff. Promotional offers on their website.

We stayed here the night before, and the night after, our trip to Europa Park (Eurostar from London, with a transfer in Paris, direct to Strasbourg).
A smooth check-in except for a minor glitch a few days before with credit card pre-authorisation (may have been a card issuer problem as we were in the UK and the charge authorisation coming from France). Solved by staff over the phone and paying upfront.
We had a room on the 5th floor overlooking the park and station.
Very clean room.
Good climate control during heatwave hitting 29°C outside.
Very good breakfast selection with tasty espresso - it's France; it has to be good coffee!
Our room on the way back was a newly renovated one on the 4th floor but it faced the side street, not the park. It was a nice room too.
Both rooms had very comfortable beds and pillows. The shower was great.
We used their baggage locker to store our luggage whilst we spent the day exploring town. Easy walk into town to see sights including the gorgeous cathedral; or catch the H bus at the train station to get to the EU parliament and nearby Orangie park (all recommended).
Tip: if coming from abroad including uk, pack a short multiple plug extension card so that you can fit an adapter to it and plug all your electronics into your extension's sockets -- the USB chargers are too heavy to stay fitted in the wall sockets with an adapter... as we discovered!
All in all great value for a great stay.
