Built in 1912, this building was successively the Maison de la Révolution, then the Palais des Travailleurs. In 1932, he welcomed the travelling theatre Krasnyï Fakel (Red Light in Russian), now one of the public favourites. In the programme: classic Russian works (Tolstoy, Ostrovskiy, Musorgsky…), with numerous incursions in French domains (Voltaire), English (Shakespeare, Wilde), Italian (Pirandello), German (Brecht).
