INSTITUT DES INGENIEURS DU CHEMIN DE FER

This monumental building, due to the Pétersbourgois Ledval, was built in four years'time by the soldiers of the Austrian and Hungarian army. The sculptures and mouldings are due to the Czech prisoners. The entrance arc is adorned with a three-storey colonnade above which four female figures each personify one element of the railway: La Route, Traction, Movement, the Administration.
