GORODSKAYA DUMA MUSEUM

The museum is housed in a 19th century building in the style of Russian classicism. The clock on its pediment was designed in 1857 by Alexei Troussov, a skilful Russian peasant, based on the model of the carillon of the Moscow Kremlin. The carillon earned its author the small silver medal at the Tyumen public exhibition in 1871. In the building since 1922, the Ethnographic Museum has grown from the collection collected by the director of the former Practical School (known as the Real School).
