PINEAPPLE FESTIVAL

First launched in 1988, this annual festival is a celebration of the tradition of pineapple growing in Eleuthera and honours pineapple growers for their outstanding contribution to the community. It is designed around the pineapple harvest to raise awareness of this once lucrative and important agricultural heritage. Junkanoo parade, shows, traditional games, craft stands, production visits, bicycle races, and even a pineapple-eating contest: a festive and colourful event!
