It is even at the origin of many wild guesses because it arrived there one fine morning, vertical as if it had grown on the spot. Planted in the middle of the bay, it fully emerges at low tide and its tormented trunk and emaciated branches devoid of any foliage have hosted more than one top model for shoots for the world's biggest fashion magazines, from Elle to Harper's Bazaar. Anyone can venture there at low tide.
