At an altitude of 2,000 metres on a totally exclusive site, the road to the plateau comes to a screeching halt at the edge of a vertiginous canyon. L'Alila stands there, blended into its mineral surroundings, promising a rejuvenating stay in sober, refined eco-chic suites. The site is stunning! Planted on the side of a mountain on the edge of the void, The Suwgra is a traditional hamlet over 500 years old, with dry-stone houses arranged in staircases to match the rugged topography. For a night or a few days of total disconnection, it doesn't get much better than this! It's a charming place, with terraced lounges from which to admire the landscape, comfortable rooms (private bathroom with shower or bathtub) but very typical, and delicious local cuisine. The view of the mountains from all sides is breathtaking!

Diving directly on the wadi Muaydin, Sahab is the only boutique hotel in the area. Renovated in 2018, it has 27 comfortable rooms redecorated in soft tones and arranged in a U-shape around a garden of endemic plants. The swimming pool overlooks the canyon, as do the bar and the tables set on the edge of the void. But you can also eat inside in the cosy restaurant. In tune with the site, the URU Spa offers a range of revitalizing treatments. During the day, you can take advantage of the range of excursions and activities: picnic, trekking, climbing, mountain biking.

This hotel offers 60 units with views, including 14 garden-level chalets with large private terraces. The U-shaped layout ensures maximum openness to the site: from the restaurant with its panoramic terrace, to the heated pool on the edge of the ravine, to the barbecue area where you can nibble on a kebab while gazing up at the sky(sama in Arabic). Although comfortable, the complex is taller and more massive than average, and therefore better formatted for groups (conference room) or families (large play area, connecting rooms). The hotel, built on the roadside, can be seen from afar. Although not so old, it is old-fashioned in appearance, and is built away from the villages of the Saiq plateau. It offers a panoramic view of Jebel Akhdar through its many bay windows. The 26 decent rooms are equipped with TV, air-conditioning, minibar and even a radiator, as the nights here are rather chilly, even cold in the middle of winter.
