Read moreIt is one of the largest shopping centres in the Sultanate, arranged around a Carrefour, and recently expanded. The shopping mall has a multitude of shops in all categories and several restaurants where locals love to stroll and relax with their families, evenings and weekends. On site: VOX cinema, huge Magic Planet area with rides for the little ones, video games, adrenaline-charged attractions and sports offers for adults. Good to know, the perfumer Amouage has a nice shop here.
PANORAMA MALL
Read moreOne of the most recent shopping malls, this is a huge complex of several very tall buildings. Inside, no fewer than 100 brands of all kinds line up: clothing stores (Liu Jo, Furla...), electronics stores, jewelry stores... but also cafés, international cuisine restaurants and a laser game. Plus: a cinema with a VIP Lounge, an ultra-comfortable area with extendable seats. There's also a nursery for children aged 5 to 16, so parents can shop in peace.
OMAN AVENUES MALL
Read moreOn three floors, it is a horizontal mall belonging to the Lulu group. Fans are present: ready-to-wear, a gold souk with jewellery shops, a high-tech district, and decoration shops. The second floor is dedicated to leisure and catering (especially fast food). The third floor is more oriented towards well-being and leisure - bowling, gym, spa. Interesting concept: the kiddy zone is an area dedicated to children with shops and a playground. Valet parking and vehicle cleaning service, free wifi.
WATER-FRONT MUSCAT

There are a few boutiques upstairs, but its main attraction lies in the beautiful, large terraces of its many bars and restaurants. The locals understand this and love to spend time here. So, rather than shopping, you'll come here for lunch, dinner or just a drink. A choice of international eateries: from Turkish restaurants to steakhouses and girly tearooms.
MUSCAT GRAND MALL
Read moreMGM, as it's known here, is one of the capital's newest malls, and not the least. It features no fewer than 150 stores, including a Carrefour supermarket, textiles, home furnishings, electronics, sports brands, a bookshop and, of course, a number of restaurants and fast-food outlets grouped together in a food court. Entertainment: cinema, climbing wall, Fabyland indoor playground with attractions. French residents pick up their baguette at Paul's, while Omanis stop off for a chicha at the Al Makan Café.
OPERA GALLERIA
Read moreYou'll feel more like you're strolling through a prestigious venue than a shopping mall when you cross the marble aisles of this superb gallery, built as an extension of the Opera House to house luxury and/or renowned international brands such as Nespresso or Patek Philippe. Don't expect to find the best bargains here unless you have a well-stocked Black Card . In any case, drop in for the pleasure of the eyes and the delight of the setting, with its soothing elegance. QURUM CITY CENTER
Read moreLess extensive than its big brother next door at the airport, this downtown City Center is similarly arranged around a Carrefour supermarket and features virtually the same brands: international ready-to-wear brands for men, women and children, watch and jewelry boutiques, lingerie and swimwear stores, pharmacies, perfumeries, banks... and the usual procession of cafés, fast-food outlets and restaurants. On the entertainment side, the mall boasts a VOX cinema and a Magic Planet amusement park with attractions for all ages.
SABCO SHOPPING CENTRE
Read moreIt was the first mall to open in the Sultanate. This "pioneering" aspect in no way detracts from the quality of the brands present, starting with the perfume brand Amouage, which has a sumptuous boutique here. Sabco brings together several luxury brands (mainly watches and eyewear, but also Armani and Hugo Boss clothing), as well as a hairdresser, florist and more. At the far end is an "Omani" souk with a multitude of handicrafts whose origins didn't always strike us as local.
AL ARAIMI COMPLEX
Read moreIt is one of the largest complexes and the highest in the neighbourhood, with no fewer than 70 shops. The ground floor is mainly devoted to clothing stores, jewellery stores and perfume stores (Giordano, Al Felaij Watches, Al Qurm Shoes, Perfect Woman Fashions, New Gift Centre…), while the basement aligns sports and electronics stores (The Athlete's Sport, Bosch, Oh, LG Electrical…).
BOULEVARD BOUTIQUE MALL
