The Elvas Tourist Office has recently reopened its doors following renovation work. Located on the Praça da República, the tourist office benefited from an investment of over 41,000 euros to improve its facilities. The work included general construction work such as wall and ceiling treatment, interior cobblestone cladding, slab reinforcement, interior and exterior painting, window renovation and the installation of new sanitary facilities. The water, electricity and telecommunications networks were also renovated, and new furniture added. These improvements have created a more functional and welcoming space for tourists visiting the town of Elvas.
