The palace was founded in the 14th century. It presents a mixture of Mudéjar, Gothic and Manueline architecture. At the back, admire the extraordinary pentagonal tower Torre das Cinco Quinas. In addition to the gardens and numerous rooms, the palace has a collection of 15th and 18th century sculptures, paintings and armour.
The church was founded in 1485 and has magnificent polychrome azulejos from the 17th century. On the ground you will see the tombs of the Dukes of Cadaval and their ancestors.

S'inviter chez une riche famille...
L'ensemble (palais+église) appartient toujours à une riche famille de la région. Mais la visite du cadre, des collections, peut se faire à un rythme agréable, loin de la foule d'autres édifices. Et il y règne une atmosphère paisible.
