The village of Umusambi is the kingdom of crowned cranes and birds. The project was born out of a desire to save the endangered grey crowned crane in Rwanda. This restored wetland now provides a natural habitat for more than 50 of these large wading birds in the wild. Walking trails have been created, allowing for bird watching (more than 100 species of native and migratory birds), butterfly watching and the discovery of medicinal plants. Fun and educational activities for children.
