The province of Laghman is located northeast of Jalalabad. It benefits from rich valleys, well irrigated, allowing large rice production. The province is very populous, its inhabitants live in large family farms. The ethnic origin of the population is highly mixed: Pachaï (tribe of Indian origin), Tajiks and Pashtuns. Many are artisans and professions of carpenter, blacksmith, potter or totems.
