Rotterdam, the second-largest city in the Netherlands, is sometimes referred to as the economic and cultural capital bis. Almost totally destroyed in the Second World War, the city had to rise from the ashes. Its port is a powerful symbol of this commercial and pragmatic city. Rotterdam is a dynamic, contrasting and atypical destination, in osmosis with the water. It enjoys a spaciousness that is the envy of many other Dutch cities. It attracts visitors for its rich cultural and ethnic diversity. Its architecture boasts some of the finest examples: cube houses, the Erasmus bridge, the buildings of the Kop van Zuid district... Its intriguing urban panorama is now embodied by Rem Koolhaas' De Rotterdam, ville verticale. In just a few years, Markthal has become a new symbol of the city. 2021 sees the opening to the public of " Depot ", the first public museum depot, an incredible mirror of beauty and urban poetry.
