MATYHOLWENI REST CAMP

Camp Matyholweni, located to the very south of the park at the eponymous gate, offers chalets directly inside the park. The attraction? Well, many animals other than elephants can be seen here, and this is the part of the park most populated by wildlife: on a game drive or with your own car, you can see lions, black rhinos, buffalo, zebras... The camp is pretty well run, with comfortable accommodation and an impeccable swimming pool, close to the small town of Colchester, where you should do your shopping before entering, as it's self-catering here.
