In a building reconstructed in 1908 according to Baker style, visit this interesting museum to learn more about the afrikaans language, this Creole, a mix of Dutch, Portuguese, French and African vernacular languages. Afrikaans is spoken in two countries: South Africa and Namibia. Language was a kind of political symbol for the Afrikaners, but many writers do not want to "liquidate" the afrikaans with apartheid. This language, of which Adriaan van Dis says: " It's like picking the words on the bushes. " Bloemfontein and the free state have their bard, their fetish writer, Karel Schoeman, who was translated into French. The hotel was very clean and comfortable.
