FÊTE DE YÊN TU

From the 10th day of the^first lunar month to the end of the^third lunar month, the spring festivals of the Yen Tu pagodas in Halong, the Mecca of Vietnamese Buddhism, take place every year. It is one of the most important Buddhist festivals of the country, which attracts each year more than 2 million visitors, faithful Buddhists come to express their faith or simple walkers attracted by the beauty of the places. The festival is marked by processional rites performed by the monks, as well as by various spectacles with drums, dances of the dragon and the unicorn.
