At the foot of Mount Thuân Dao, this tomb has the peculiarity of being the only royal burial place not surrounded by a surrounding wall. Emperor Thiêu Tri is the eldest son of Emperor Minh Mang. He acceded to the throne on January 11, 1841, but his reign was short-lived. Afflicted by the disease, he died at the age of 41 on September 4, 1847. It is his son, who became the emperor Tu Duc who ordered, after consultation with the geomancers, the construction of the tomb of Thiêu Tri. It began on 11 February 1848 and was completed ten months later.
